I’m not a mom. But I’m a “second mom. ”At least that’s what my moms tell me.

As a teacher, I get a front-row seat to motherhood every day. I see the excitement of new pregnancies, the tired smiles at drop-off, the planning, the worrying, and the beautiful chaos that comes with welcoming a new baby.

Over the years, I’ve noticed something important: hospital bags are almost always practical—but they aren’t always pretty. And they rarely feel personal.

I wanted to create something different.
